Why a Natural Dry Skin Remedy May Be Better?

According to the dermatologists natural oils and remedies tend to be pure. That makes them a better choice against bottles, and hundred tubes of lotions, creams,  and fancy moisturizers which have a ton of ingredients in them.

Commercial products contain not only the active moisturizing products, but they can also have preservatives. Alcohol and fragrances are other common ingredients in these products that can cause irritation, allergic reaction, or be just more drying to skin.

#Olive Oil Massage

 You will need:

  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 to 2 drops of lavender essential oil

Mix it and you just rub into your skin, wipe off excess with washcloth. The olive-lavender oil combination can be taken as regular moisturizer, and can be used daily.

This massage is effective because of moisturizing properties that have olive oil, also presence of polyphenols helps counteract the damage caused by the sun. Lavander has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, which help with itchiness and irritation caused by dry skin.

#Rejuvenating Avocado And Honey Pack

You will need:

  • ½ avocado
  • ¼ cup honey (recommended for very dry skin)

Mash the avocado and place it in a bowl and make sure that there are no large lumps present. Apply the mask to your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, and wash it with lukewarm water.

Avocado pulp is rich in natural oils. It is also rich in vitamins A and E, which help maintain healthy and moisturize your skin. You may use this face pack once or twice a week.

#Coconut And Banana Mask

You will need:

  • ½ ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Mash the banana and stir in the coconut oil to make a smooth paste. Apply the face mask and keep it on for 20 minutes, than rinse with cold water.

The high level of fats present in coconut oil deeply conditions your skin, leaving it smooth and supple. Moisturizing properties of the banana can provide instant relief from dry skin. Use this face mask once or even twice a week.

#Egg Pack

Eggs are an excellent source of protein which makes them a necessary addition to your skin care. Orange juice, due to the presence of Vitamin C, helps in getting rid of blemishes. Honey, olive oil, and castor oil are known for their moisturizing properties, which will help you getting rid of your dry, flaky skin and get a soft, supple skin.

You will need:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon castor oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon rosewater

Separate an egg from egg yolk and mix it with other ingredients. Leave it on for 10 minutes, and rinse it off. This mixture you can apply every morning before bath for the best results. 

#Gentle Yogurt Scrub

The best way to exfoliate you face is to use a gentle and moisturizing scrub that removes dead cells without damaging your skin. Yogurt contains lactic acid that exfoliates your skin and treats dryness and the granulated sugar removes any flakiness while the honey hydrates your skin.

You will need:

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup plain yogurt
  • 3 teaspoons honey

Add the yogurt to the honey and combine them. Add the granulated sugar in. Apply the scrub all over your face and massage with circular motion for a few minutes. Keep the scrub on your face for 5 minutes, than washout with cold water. This scrub should be used once a week.
